End of a Chapter + A New Beginning

Hello my dear friends! I've been meaning to write a new post for a while now, but then I started working on the layout and template...and then I had to fix it the way I wanted it...and that always takes time lol, so I'm a little late, but oh well (: I didn't keep the last layout long...I looked at it the other day and although I liked it, it almost felt depressing - so I decided to come up with something a little brighter lol :D I hope that you all like it too! As for the "End of a Chapter"...Tuesday was the last day at the daycare for the school year session. We then get a week off (which is almost over now) and then next Tuesday we start the summer session. AND...the ExCiTiNg part??!! I get to teach!! I'm so excited!! I get to be the lead teacher for the 3, 4, and 5 year olds. So rounding up some materials, I decided to go with an ocean theme and with some much appreciated extra hands, we made the room look amazing :D:D
This shows the Main Whiteboard along with my fishbowls at the top with "Jobs" for the students each day.
This is the bulletin board - and I LOVE how it turned out :D
This is the door :D - We're learning about frogs Week 1
This is part of my Home Living center.
These are the chairs for my Library center.
We're going to attempt placement names - and we may also use them to practice writing our names /: We shall see...
Fishes for the names :D:D (;
Fish and Blue Streamers hanging from the ceiling to add to the ocean effect (: I promise it looks better in real life (; My phone doesn't take the best pics
And another... I'm looking forward to the summer!! I am so excited about teaching. I've found tons of awesome, creative, and fun ideas on Pinterest that I'm looking forward to trying!! What an experience it will be, and tons of wonderful experience!! Here I go!

Vacay!!!!!

Soooooo...this last week, for four days I got to go on vacation with my Mom and sister!  It was sooooo much fun :D  as well as very needed!!!  We went to Branson and had a blast.  One day we got to go to Silver Dollar City, and...I rode the Giant Barn Swing by myself!  For those of you who don't know, I am afraid of heights, and most rollar coasters and thrill rides tend to scare the living daylights out of me.  And that might possibly be an understatement...because I hyperventilate...Yeaaa, it's pretty bad.  BUT...I don't like the fact that they scare me, and I want to be able to ride them.  The only way I know how to get over it is to make myself ride the rides over and over again.  So that is my plan lol.  I really think it helps me too...some rides don't bother me until they're so high that I can't see anything but the sky...like the Giant Barn Swing...but i'm coming along on that one.  However, there are other rides that I don't want to get used to, so I probably won't try very hard to get used to those lol. (;

Anyway, SDC was having World Fest while we were up there, so we got to see some pretty amazing people and cultures, as well as flags.  I was hoping to see a Croatian flag (I'm a little partial) but unfortunately I didn't.  ):

We also went to the Dixie Stampede, which was tons of fun...and the South won!!!!  Woo woo...:D  I've got southern pride haha.

Brandi and I went miniature golfing one night while Mom kept score...I won :D  by one point hehe :P

We also went to the wax museum.  I've been there before, but there's something about wax museums that fascinate me, so I always greatly enjoy going.

Another night we went on the Showboat Branson Belle.  That was also fun, but I must say that I discovered boats are not my thing.  Talk about sea sick, ugh, it was not fun!

Needless to say, I actually found myself feeling queasy during a lot of this trip ):  the barn swing along with a couple roller coater rides...the showboat...Brandi's driving :P  but overall I had such a wonderful time with Mom and Brandi. At SDC I found a little clay vase type thing with my name on it, and a scroll inside of it.  The scroll tells the personality that comes along with your name.  It was a little too accurate on some points.
We got to go shopping one day and I found me a new pair of shoes, as well as a very cool pink shirt :D

Here are some pics...
